Blog Update: Crunchyroll, Posting Schedule, and More

It’s been a busy few weeks on the writing front, but now I finally have time to update you guys on some of the big changes going on. For those of you who didn’t see my tweet about it, I’m now a features writer on Crunchyroll (yes, Skyler Allen is my real name, but you can still call me Videogamep or that if you want)! My Crunchyroll features go up every week on Thursdays, and I’ll be posting a quick blurb with a link to the full article here. I didn’t make the announcement here, but most of you have probably seen that I also do reviews and other projects for The Fandom Post that go up here as well. Between writing for those two outlets and school (when I’m not too lazy to work), I haven’t been able to meet my weekly posting schedule very often, so I’ve decided to discontinue that schedule. I’ll still be doing posts exclusive to this blog-I have no intention of letting it turn into a link aggregator for other sites-but they won’t be on a set schedule and will come out when they’re ready. The main reason I started on a regular schedule was because I wasn’t updating this blog frequently enough, but that’s not really the case now. My episode reviews for The Fandom Post and Crunchyroll features go up every week, so there’s not an issue with keeping a steady stream of content anymore. I’m still watching plenty of anime and getting plenty of ideas, so there’s no danger that I’ll stop writing here. If I do have a new post in the works, I’ll announce it first on my Twitter, so I encourage you to follow me there if you want more frequent updates or just want to chat.

In other news, my two year blogging anniversary is May 14th, which is just a couple of weeks away. Like last year, I’ll be doing another personal top list to celebrate, so look forward to that! I want to end this with a quick thank you to everyone who follows my work. Writing is something I’m passionate about (shocking, right?) and I wouldn’t have gotten this far without all of you. So thank you to everyone who’s read my posts. Just the fact that people like what I’ve written really means a lot to me.
